Well New Orleans. You have been surprising and amazing and it truly saddens me to leave you 😢
I have truly loved every minute here. New Orleans is truly a unique city. Each section very unique. From the culture and history of the French Quarter where you can see the house Tennessee Williams lived in that inspired A Streetcar Named Desire ( a play I adore ) to seeing the house that offered sanctuary to Napolean Boneparte.
To the grandeur of the mansions in the garden district. A testament to old money and traditions and times long gone and the ghosts of slavery and bad times. Now being used for students and development of the arts.
To the superstitions and use of voodoo that permeates modern day life and brings history to the present.
To amazing food such as gumbo, jambalaya, Po Boys (absolution delicious), Beignets (soo good but so bad😍 😋) , shrimp and pralines.
The the canal street and st Charles streetcars. The oldest and only working streetcars in the US.
New Orleans has been amazing. Despite the troubles at the beginning of the trip, I couldn’t have wanted a better trip. Even the rain wasn’t that much of dampener. To Rob and the volunteers of the Auberge Nola hostel who have been amazing for sorting out the luggage issue, giving advice on where to go and organising amazing night out including ‘beer pong’ and ‘flip cup’.
A sad farewell, and an early start

Onwards and upwards
Vegas baby!!!
